Very nice Andy. Just how I pictured it from the way that you have described it.

That must have been one hell of a tall tree you climbed to get that picture.

I snapped the pic from about 500ft with my Olympus C2100UZ (10X optical zoom). The pic isn't REAL clear cause I was shooting through quite a bit of atmosphere.

MACS

there a few nice specimens in the pond; the kind that a particular "dude" likes.

A several years ago, it was stocked to the gills with BIG bass (6-7 pounders), catfish, and bluegills.

A VERY dry summer, coupled with a very ignorant young man who liked to sneak fish out of the pond resulted in an empty pond.

I am just starting to get it going again.

Very nice Andy! A great place to raise kids. Ruggy wants to move us out into the country some day. Probably about the time eveyone gets involved in afterschool activities!

dammit Bass!!

Rug Family:

I am actually studyin on moving out of there an into a "neighborhood"; hopefully where I grew up in FL. (this is a five year plan)

The problems here are;

1) 40 acres to take care of (mow, etc)

2) treacherous roads in the winter w/ lousy snow removal

3) No city water/sewage, etc (sounds fine until the 10th time you have replaced your well pump and plumbing).

4) No other kids my daughters age within safe walking distance, no place to ride a bike, play on the sidewalk, etc.

5) Amish People

Maybe I just want a change of pace...who knows.

6) Those trees just uphill from the house (you see two) are Chestnuts, which leave sharp spiny things in the yard. When the first one drops, I stop mowing......period.

Andy, If I were one, you'ld be calling Bekins today.

I live in a house in San Francisco that my family has owned since 1952. Believe me, things and prices being what they are, yours is the type of place we're heading to when we can finally retire.

I'll look for some pics of the chutes. I don't actually fly them "per se". I have not been certified. I HAVE controlled them in flight (as a passenger with an instructor). In this regard, I have made landings and takeoffs, but I never really cared to pursue it........another costly hobby I managed to resist.

I have assembled several, it takes about 30 hours from the factory kit.
