Uggg, I need a new computer.

1) For what was this filmed?

2) From where are these guys?

3) I about **** my pants when the guy with his pants down started slamming the thing into the thing.

Ahhhhh, I love the Internet.

OHHHHH THAT WAS FN AWESOME!!

MY HEAD HURTS FROM LAUGHING.... ONLY BUCKY WOULD FIND SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!

THAT MADE MY DAY!!

V

THEY ROCK!

They made a sappy song cool!

Do they take requests?

TOO FUNNY!

I alwsys loved that song, but this just put a new spin on it for me.

The anticipation of the guy holding the thing over his head ready to slam it into the stove was great. I'd love to see this group live.

That, um, drummer(?) was really into it too. *boom boom chak*

Talk about performance art.

I found it at a Packer forum I visit. I guess the "band" is from Norway.

A quick google on Hurra Torpedo brought up this:

Hurra Torpedo a band that uses kitchen appliences for percussion, does their tribute to Bonnie Tyler's 1983 hit song, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", on the tv show, "Lille Lørdag".

Bucky,

I DEMAND more information about these guys.

Friggen awesome.

Whats so funny about it? these guys are AWESOME

I wonder if they sell t-shirts

One of my favorite bands! Their cover of the B52s love shack is really something to see. Saw them in Stavanger A few years ago! There Cd "kanne JEG låne din Krumkake jern?" (Can I borrow your Krumkake iron?)

really rocks!

More digging on google. Here's some cut and paste.

The video is from the mid 90's. They are under the label "Duplex Records." Hurra Torpedo is one of several weird/comedy bands centered around Egil Hegeberg (He is the guy singing) He is involved with among others "Black Debbath" (a band specializing in making political songs in Black Sabbath style. The name is wordplay for the norwegian word for debate "debatt") He has had several hits on his own as "Bare Egil Band" (Just Egil Band.) Their Hurra Torpedo personas are meant to be Finnish.
