After a week or two of thinking about it, I made Bacon Wrapped Pork Ribeye's for dinner. With garlic mashed red potatoes, and corn.

Oh my.

I love them.

So what is your favorite meal?

Just about anything you wrap in bacon is going to be good. Myself, I like the fillet migon wrapped in bacon.

On special occasions, we'll get that with some lobster tails. I cook them both on the grill with some twice baked potatoes (with real bacon in them).

I've gotten it down so that I think what I cook at home is better than what you would get in a restaurant - and it is cheaper too. Of course at home you have to do your own dishes!

If I was going to be put on a desert island and I had one choice of meal, it would be spaghetti and meatballs. My favorite.

Steak and baked potato with butter and sour cream would be a close 2nd.

The meal Mrs.Tank made today (see post #1) is one of my all time favorites...

There are so many different foods that I love, and thoses of you who have met me can tell I fully enjoy eating all of them...

But, my favorite meal is still a good pizza enjoyed with good friends and family with alot of laughing...

Then off to Dairy Queen for Ice Cream !!!

Just about anything with sauerkraut and meat. Mader's in Milwaukee makes these things called reuben rolls, and the next time we go that is all I am eating.

I like liver and onions a lot, too. And sauerbraten.

Oh man, is my German hanging out?

I have actually considered making some, but as Ruggy will tell you most of my grand schemes never get off the drawing board. The best commercially available sauerkraut is made by Bubbies.

With a name like Bubbies, it has to be good!

Good steaks on the grill. Half the fun is grilling, smoking while grilling, and having a nice dark beer while smoking and grilling. I even do it at 40 below in all my cold weather gear.

Good southern BBQ would be number 1, but I live in northern MN...

Wow. Crushed peanuts on Cole Slaw. Sounds yummy.

I haven't even tasted it yet, but it sounds like a Natural. (Like whoever asked why it took us so many freakin years to add wheels to luggage:-)

Please post the recipe

OK, time to make Ruggy suffer! Last Sunday, I Cooked a beef brisket (a HUGE one!) on my Wber kettle, over charcoal, the old fashioned way (gas just isn't the same!) Made up a bunch of my sauce. I start with bottled BBQ sauce, add beer, honey, brown sugar, curry powder, cayenne pepper, garlic, worchestershire sauce, and a bit of teriyaki sauce. salt and pepper the meat and slather a generous quantity of sauce on it before throwing it on the grill! Takes about 2-3 cigars to cook!
