On top of a mountain in Huntsvill, Alabama. These are some old mortarless stone cabins with all the amenities of central heat and air, 2 beds, cable TV, stocked kitchen, frige, microwave and coffee maker. The local Boy Scouts bring firewood everyday too.

Barry, sounds like you had a good time roughing it!

There's some beautiful country in those parts. I lived in Huntsville for several years. My baby sister is still there.

Dang BMW - that's my freakin' hometown your posting there! Monte Sano is nice - we've got a couple of "mountains" here in Alabama, but my friend from North Caroline tends to laugh at that! 🙂

Wish I would've known, I would've dropped you a couple of stick and taken you to Dreamland (it's BBQ folks).

I grew up in Huntsville and left back in '74. It's funny that there, they are mountains even though they are foothills of the Smokeys but like mentioned you go to the Smokeys and they laugh at you for calling them mountains, LOL. I spent my youth hiking all over the local mountains and helped mark trails that are now part of the park system.

There's a possibility that I may be moving back. I have a lot of family and friends there. I'll keep an eye out for you other Huntsville guys if you'll send me you email addies, bwilliams69atexcitedotcom

My parents recently moved to Huntsville (actually Harvest), and I visit every couple of months. It is a beautiful area, and I always enjoy my trips over there.
