Watched the Godfather movie on Bravo and during a break in the movie they asked this question...What actor or actress received the highest salary for their role in the first Godfather movie.

The answer is very surprising.

I was gonna go with Fredo otherwise known as Mr. Forehead, but I got a whiff of Clemenza's (Castellano?) spaghetti sauce.

It was that ugly, fat bastid, wasn't it, JonR?

Damn, way to go, I was not thinking since he was almost an assistant director, script writer, and consultant to Coppala!

My friends family rented their house on Staten Island to be the Corleone's house in the movie. He has a cool scrapbook with photos of the cast hanging out in his yard. His sisters were extras in the wedding scene. In the basement he has sections of the "stone" wall that was the compound entrance, really a plastic wall across a culdesac filled with gravel.

Yo Blood:

Sorry about the delay, things have been hectic here the last couple days I been averaging 2 hours sleep.

You are correct, Richard S. Castellano aka Pete Clemenza was the highest salaried actor in the original "GODFATHER" movie. He was to be in Godfather II but he demanded more money and to write his own lines so they had him killed off screen. Castellano died at age 53.

Blood I will send you an e-mail either later today or early tomorrow morning.
