watching Mike Tyson marathon on ESPN Classic. Man he was scary. And now that it is said and done, one of the saddest letdown stories in sports history. I remember being in high school and seeing on the news that he lost to Buster Douglas. Literally thought it was a joke. And not much to say about the Holyfield and later fights....oh, what should have been.

By the way, has anyone ever seen Bert Sugar with a LIT cigar? Also, looks like a Henry Clay to me...possibly AF?

I never could stand Tyson...

and I won a bunch on the Duglas/Tyson fight... man the odds LOL

I always liked Hollyfield since the 84 Olympics (gold)loss by a punch after the bell (BS)

I got a shirt says somethin about Tyson biting ears... it's from a corn festivile that year LOL

mike tyson at his best was able to deliver more force at point of impact then any fighter before him and since.

his opponents brains were bounced so severly in their skulls, they passed out.

quote from tyson "I try to catch him right on the tip of the nose, because I try to push the bone into the brain."

when cus d'amato died, tyson lost the father figure that kept him in check.

Could he have taken Ali,Frazier, or Foreman in their prime Rick? That era was a little before my time and I have always been curious how he would stack up.

Tyson could never of survived the pure genius of Ali in the ring.

I always thought that from looking at old footage, but Tyson was a freak and I am still not sure about that.

The man may not have had all his marbles, but you can't take away from the fact that he was an absolute beast in his prime.

I saw the loss to Douglas. He knocked the **** out of Tyson.

What Rick said. The mannish boy lost his moral compass when Cus died. He broke free and went adrift again.

The shine was off when he had those 2 close fights with Razor Ruddock....even before the Douglas fight. When Cus died and he dumped Kevin Rooney as trainer he was on the slippery slope down. Even in his prime I'm not sure he would be so dominant against the heavyweights of today, not because of talent but sheer size. In the past 5 years they've been averaging 6'5", 260 lbs. - Tyson was around 5'10", 220.

i believe he would have torn joe louis to hd.

ali, frazer and foreman, hard to know. i think ali would have been imposible to hit. frazer and foreman coming in all the time wouldn't last two rounds..
