I just got home from work (juvenile center), tonight I saw a big guy start picking on a small guy. The big guy than picked up a pool stick and began beating the smaller guy in the head. To say the least what I saw tonight was disturbing. I'm having a hard time turning off my mind to go to sleep.

The big guy needs to be taken into the stairwell by 3 or 4 employees where he can "accidently" fall down the stairs a half dozen times.

The "big guy" is now in custody in the Jackson County jail where he will be tried as an adult. I watched him taken in handcuffs about 2 hours ago.

Although I truely do hope that he will think next time I highly doubt it. This is his 38th charge and at least half of them are directly related to this exact behavior. The sad part is the kid is only 18!

I don't know all of the circumstances here, but sometimes little guys need as ass-whoopin too.

The dude's a bad egg. Regardless of how much someone deserves an ass whoopin', civilized people don't go around beating people over the head with a foreign object.

Considering his history, it's easy to see he fits the definition of a lifer. It's a shame, but the kid will live out the majority of his life behind bars without some serious change of heart.

Country, if this got to you this badly, you may want to go to your employer's HR dept and see if they have any programs that could help you professionally sort this out.

The little guy is back from the hospital and is stapled up. I agree with the above statement. Sometimes people deserve a butt kickin', but I don't think a pool stick has any place in that. It's not like the guy was a threat to him. I'm pretty pissed I guess, but I guess that the big guy is getting what he deserves now.

As far as this line of work, it is not my favorite. But I am working to get through college and to support Sarah and I at the same time. Sometimes you don't have the luxery of doing your ideal job, sometimes you do, as for me I will continue to work there until our time in Graceville is through.

Despite it being a good idea, "pounding" an 18 year old with a pool stick is easier said on a cigar forum than done in real life. Within seconds we had back up staff, where we gained control of him.

I also understand it isn't feasible to kick the crap out of a smart mouth kid, even when your body is telling you to do so. My question was rhetorical actually.

And I understand when the 1MC says "Security Alert. Security Alert", you get you butt up against a bulkhead, or someone like MAC(SW) may come by and push you out of the way with the butt end of a 12 guage.

lol spades. Correct. I got a job at the a Juvenile center in Graceville about 6 or 7 months ago. I don't want to make all of this that big of a deal. This thread is what it is..... a simple "need to vent"
