Take a ton of beef...smother it with bacon and cheese, then place it between a sliced Krispy Kreme donut and you have yourself a delicious, artery clogging treat.517508.jpg

I'm getting chest palpitations just looking at it.

Wonder if the guy who filmed "Super Size Me" is interested?

Goes great with a fatty liver.

Check please!

PS: Was that yours, Steve?!

Now I like Krispy Kremes as much as the next guy (probably more if you consider I can eat 12 fresh ones at one sitting), but beef is not one of the things I would consider combining with one.

EWWWWW!

bloody spaniard - Nope. But, I've been known to track down things like this just to try it. Hence the 9lb burger thread a few months back.

I'm with jcwbnimble!!!!

Why ruin 2 perfectly good things, by combining them. That said, I'm an explorer, and would at least try a bite, before discarding the notion.

Bite then again, some people say. "Dave you just aint right." LOL

Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)

P.S. That was said to me right before I dumped 20 LBS of crushed blueberries into some half fermented Ginger Mead. The result was spectacular, a little over a year after bottling.

Substitute a sliced honey bun or apple fritter for the donut and you might have something there.

Is there some way you get a Hostess chocolate pie into the equation?

dolspot,

Next to home-made, Hostess pies are the best snack ever.

Maybe you could slide the burger inside the pie? yummy.

That should be illegal.

that looks fabulous.

I LOVE big burgers. To me, the only way to get it to cook right is to make it big. When I grill them at home, I make tightly pressed 3/4lb patties. You can only eat one, but they are sooooooo good.

The only thing I would change about the donut burger would be to swap the donuts with slices of pork.

Are you sure it's not a Homer burger? This totally sounds like something Homer Simpson would create. Except you would have to add a cube of butter and syrup.

I had a great burger place where I used to live that made a 1/2 burger, with pineapple, lettuce, Tomato, Pepper Jack Cheese a lousiana hot sausage and smothered in louisiana hot sauce. Oh man was it good

they also made my favorite burger of all time... 1/2 pound of meat, lettuce, onion, bacon, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce and chucky peanut butter thick on both sides of the bread. Top it off with a pineapple slice and you have a little bit of heaven. If you haven't tried a hamburger with peanut butter...you don't know what you're missing. Get yourself a physical and a doctors consent and start cooking.

Moving to sacto, I can't find a decent burger place yet. The closest thing I can get to a good burger is at the red robin...and I have to wade through a sea a screaming brats and balloons and too happy waiters/waitresses to get to it

lukin,

We just got one of those red robins in Greensburg (near here).

I didn't like it one bit....taste like there were too many spices or something in the burger.

The best restaurant burger I have found is Max & Erma's.

I like mine with swiss, lettuce, raw onion, pickle, and mayo.............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

No way, instead of the KK, try a hard roll, a bagel, a chibatta roll, whatever, but no Krispy Kreme...ugh

My dad's recipe.

Stuffed burger: 2 4.oz patties(whatever commbo meat you want, I use half chuck and half sirloin.)

Saute onions and mushrooms in a skillet.

Season meat patties anyway you like.

1 slice spicy monterayjack cheese one one patty, and one slice mild cheddar on the other.(Again any cheese you feel like guys.

tops one patty onions and mushrooms then top with other meat patty. Pack it down slightly and close off edges. grill, fry, bake, at about 350 untill cheese melts (about 10 mins on each side) add to bun and enjoy
