I've just spent the past few months going over the listed 818 threads on this site and am curious about a number of things,one in particular.What is the purpose of posting threads over and over again,some as many as ten times?I'm not referring to those posts whereby someone decides to answer a post two or three years old.I'm talking about those exact same pictures and threads that the same person posted years,months and weeks before? Just curious.

It's an ancient and probably wired in behavior pattern for humans in a specific society to show and tell and pass on stories repeatedly, to create a sense of community among its group...His Honor, jackconrad, is the chief show and teller here.

Why do you care? Just curious.

I understand the purpose of storytelling.I just don't understand the constant repetition of the same pictures and stories over and over again.There has to be a reason.I mean does the person with the most posts win? I 'm sure there's a reason. There's a reason for everything even if its flawed logic.The reason i care is because I do.Now that may appear to be illogical to you,however it is a response.

It makes more sense than studying 818 threads you don't like or understand.

Never said I didn't like the threads.Thats your own misinterpretation of what I asked.Probably because you don't have a logical response you felt the need to say something regardless of its relevance.As a matter of fact i came to really appreciate the good feelings.humor and cigar knowledge that was passed on by many of the BOTL.
Unfortunately.much like many of the former brothers I have come to see where good will and humor have been replaced by crudeness and ridicule . I strongly suggest for those of who feel compelled to respond with something innocuous to go back to some of the old posts and you'll see a totally different breed of brother.Unfortunately you won't find them on this site anymore.Much like myself they grew weary of the mean spiritedness and moved on.By the way as you go through them you'll be sure to find a lot of Jack's threads that you thought were recent.Some of those posts were really good jack,the first time I saw them anyway.I hope you win!

Here are a couple of reasons

Every year many new people come here who have never seen them before , or mbbe they just got lost in the shuffle and are worth another look.

On weekends new post are not posted and rehashes can add variety.

Some of us might not be where we can acces our library of post pics but we can look and find something that was funny and repost it.

Some of us are Pre Alziemers and cannot remember ever seeing that post before.

Some are looked at for nostalgia or because we lost or haven't seen a brother in some time.

Just like movies that we watch over and over again we look at stuff more than once.

But mostly it is done to piss you off!!LOL!
