I saw that you are into Kevin Smith . . . What did you think of his latest one? I have loved them all up until this one, but I didn't watch it all . . . just couldn't get thru it.

Are you talking about his last major release, Jersey Girl? I enjoyed it a lot. For one, I am from Jersey anyway, so I had to watch the movie. I thought it was properly casted (though two of the leads he used actors he likes to use in his movies to begin with), and the script was well written.

Though this movie was more of a comical drama, far from the movies he did for the Jersey Trilogy, he still inserted his own brand of comedy in there that was recognizable to any fan of his.

What did you not like about it?

All I am going to say is that while I love alot of the stuff that smith has done, I couldnt handle Jay and silent bob strike back.

Even I have a stupidity limit.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was Smith's way of taking characters he always used in the 'background,' and making them front stage. We have all seen movies, and wondered about the 'comic relief background characters.' Smith decided to expand on them.

hmmmmm, it just seemed too dramatic, and I guess I was distracted by all the Bennifer Drama, too . . .

Loved Everything Else, but thought Chasing Amy was the slowest before Jersey Girl, but good, none the less . . . Loved Mall Rats, Clerks, Dogma and Jay & Silent Bob . . .

Agree that Chasing Amy was kind of the "downtime" of the five films. You seem to have a dislike of Ben Affleck, heh.

I give MallRats the top spot for best of the five. Interested to see how Clerks 2 pans out.

I Loved him in Dogma ... One of My Top Films . . . but did lose some respect for him during that tabloid affair . . .

I tend to try and ignore all the tabloid BS when I see an actor/actress in a movie. If I go see a movie, I tend to base it on a particular story I want to see and not whom I want to see acting in it.

One thing I have to say about Dogma and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back...Chris Rock was stellar in them!
