yeah, this has really been getting out of hand. welcome to the show and all, but new folks gotta stop asking for free stuff. i mean, it's just not right. where does everyone get the idea that this is the way to get started here?

hey, scottie...i have been here for about 7 weeks, and i NEVER asked for free stuff. in fact, to this day i have only received 1 package that i did not "earn"...and i returned some good smokes to the sender. that ain't the way to go. ask for a trade. send and receive...you will get more respect that way...the other brothers will then send you bombs...a bomb is more or less earned as well. but welcome.

I agree with lofty. The problem is probably caused because there are many generous BOTL here who have volunteered to send bombs to most every newbie who shows up. I have done it many times as well.

I think we should TRADE with newbies and help them get informed and established rather than just bombing them. ($.02)

Yep...........it's our own fault.

Tis' time to restore the tradition of the bonafide "Newbie Trade".

1) Vet asks for stix

2) Newbie acquires and sends them

3) Vet bombs the crap out of newbie.

I dunno B.

I don't even consider myself a vet.

I'm just a guy with a ****load of good cigars.

nah, not my thing. living in japan, you "CAN" learn to blow niceties up people's skirts, but it ain't my thing. no, you always help newbies out with advice and tips...tank ALWAYS mails them first smokes...slim KNOWS EVERYTHING it seems, and you gotta be a vet to infuriate THAT many people!

This is getting pretty crazy around here. It used to be a "bomb" was a special thing, but now they are common place. It's no wonder that newbs are asking for them now. I often look at the trades boards and there isn't a single trade offered, it's filled with who is bombing who. I do most of my trading through private emails, and don't even post anymore. I don't want to get on the "bombing list" and constantly have to return fire. It's fun and all but it can be a pain in the a$$ also. It is one of the reasons I stopped.

sli--if you trade with a newB, posting helps their rep...guys like DUP just went crazy, and he got a good rep...some of us need that a bit.

This is amazing. Not the asking for smokes, but the tone he used when asking. It just kinda makes you want to never send him smokes. I know thats wrong because that isn't what this place or I am about, I'm just being a truth teller.

I think AndyTv has it right in Post6.

That said, I already have another newbie in my sights, that I plan on Bombing the crap out of.

But then, put me on the FOG list, for the newbie trade.

I am set for smokes, for myself, from the nuking I took over the weekend. They have left a bunch of my regular rotation open for a bomb making supplies. LOL
