I remember a while back there was a poker game going. I was wondering if the game was still going. If it's not, does anyone out there want to start one up with me.

Are you talking about a real poker game or internet poker?

Internet poker, I remember awhile back there was a game going on at www.pokerroom.com. Its a pretty good site where you can set up private tables or private tournaments. I remember the old games people would put up a few decent cigars and then send them to the winner of the tournament, but cash is a little more immediate. The only reason cigars are good is because the winner gets to experience a bunch of different cigars.

Maybe... but one has to get to know what the opponents strategy is before putting real money on the table!

One has to analyze before taking a monetary risk.

We cigar smokers spead a over $20 on a single cigar, yet some it is still difficult to put up 5 or 10 dollars for a night of poker.

So if I win the poker games that means you guys will buy me cigars and booze for the next year?

well if I remember right last time every one put up a few cigars and the winner would get the cigars, so if this gets started up again it could be for cigars or money, I like money because some people last time didn't send good cigars, plus you have to pay shipping and all that crap thats involved

Well seems clarification as to the cigars involved in the ante should be confirmed prior to the game?

well since I don't have any crappy cigars in any of my humidors, I wouldn't give bad cigars. I am worried about people short changing me.

but if we played for cigars we would have to determine a quality level for the cigars.

I just thought of something, it this gets started and we play for cigars. We could have special games, like say around the holidays( i.e Christmas and New Years) where the pot would only include high end cigars and not just good ones.

That is only a suggestion
