Wooooo Hoooooo, my new CA just landed. I like this magazine a lot, even though there's less cigar info than earlier, and I pay no attention to the silly ratings. It has greaat interviews, good ads, and a lot of nice "lifestyle" info. I usually end up reading virtually ever word, even the ads (anybody bought a $20,000 watch lately?). This one has "My Day With Tiger Woods", Baseball Hotshots, Golfer's Paradise, Ten Tech Toys For Grownups (my kind of article) and a bunch more. Has a little cigar stuff too. I'm gonna light a good one and do a little reading . . . see ya. Tuck

I had a 6 month trial subscription. I allowed it to lapse. I do not enjoy reading that magazine.

I DO have a current subscription to Sports Illustrated and I will not allow that subscription to lapse. I enjoy reading most articles in that magazine.

i like the swimsuit issue. it's like porn that's acceptable to look at anywhere.

It's funny you mention that. I have them keep the swimsuit issue and just tack on one more issue to my subscription.

Frankly, the swimsuit issue bores me. I subscribe to the magazine to read about sports. If I wanted half-naked women, i'd subscribe to Playboy... which I did at one time and not for the articles.

now i'm not used to looking at this mag.

so i was wondering...since i haven't seen many of these and i'm a nascar nut.

any nascar driver's been on the cover? if so, how far back?

None that I can remember....who knows, the way NASCAR popularity has grown, they probably will!

Dup - I've only been getting it for about six months, haven't seen any yet, but I'm sure they will. NASCAR is too big right now to ignore. Very few things that big don't end up there eventually. I don't follow basketball but the Michael Jordan interview was extremely interesting, especially the part about his cigar room and walk in humidor. Tuck

When I work in DC the hotel usually has CA and Wine Spectator magazines lying on the coffee table of my hotel room. I read them, then remember why I don't subscribe. Just don't do it for me. But to each his own, for sure. No doubt many of you would be bored to death by the computer magazines I devour each month.

I have a subscription and don't really enjoy it. I read it from cover to cover, but only because it is all I have in the bathroom. I got the subscription from a relative and told them recently that though I loved it, I would prefer they get me "Smoke" or "Cigar" magazine. They have more cigar talk and less of the other stuff. I would not buy a 20,000 dollar watch if I was Bill Gates and most of those types of things just make me mad anyway...I don't golf either so it holds very little value to me.

I would agree that Cigar Magt or Smoke are definitely much better "cigar" magazines.

just got a free issue of cigar mag and IMHO I think cigar mag is the best then smoke, don't like cA because it has too much ads and talks about other stuff not enough about cigars.

I agree with Lukin.

The slick full-page+ adds are absolutely obscene.

Some people have WAY too much money.
