Just got back from a week in the UK, mostly Scotland. Stayed in Dunkeld, small village in the Highlands, surely some of the most beautiful country on this earth. Every night at the local pub there was live and lively fiddle music, friendly locals and pints of ale. Cigar smoking permitted, especially after gifting a few to the pub owner, one of the finest fiddlers in the Kingdom.

Didn't buy a single cigar. Took my own, all won on c-bid except the excellent Hemingway Sig and a couple others. Inhaled the luxurious air inside a walk-in humi on Bond Street in London and observed an open box of Fuente Exquisitos. Price per each: over 6 pounds, which comes to something around 9 US dollars for one little Exquisito. So X, you can just imagine the prices of the Cubans that I also did not purchase there. At the pub in Dunkeld everyone rolled their own cigarettes because of the outrageous taxes on tobacco in the UK, and they rolled them thin. Stock up while you can.

LLT,Glad you had a good time. I can almost hear the fiddle music and the din of chatter and laughter taking place. Wish I coulda been there. I kinda figured Habanos would be outrageous, but I didn't think other tabacco products would. Glad you're back. Kinda missed ya. You know, sorta like a toothache thats gone away,ya sorta miss it. HE HE. X

Eleltea, glad to hear you had a good time in (almost) my neck of the woods. I'm from Denmark in case you don't know. Ahhhhh, UK and Scotland. Just love it there. You're right, the scenery of Scotland is simply breathtaking. A friend of mine at the motorcycle club in which we ride, once or twice a year brings over a rowdy bunch of scotsmen, kilt wearing and all. Good fellas, and fast drinking too. Right now my friend is home with them. Wanna know how much a pack of (20) cigarettes is here? - A whopping $7.50!!!!!!!!!!! TRUE!

Hansen, haven't had the pleasure of visiting Denmark yet, but it's on my must do list. How lucky we are in the U. S. just now, able to smoke two really great cigars a day for less than what you have to pay for a pack-a-day cigarette habit there!

I repeat, everyone: stock up while you can. The politicians' appetite for money is bottomless and they'll be coming for us soon.

Good point eleltea. It's a good time to be a cigar smoker... many great cigars at good prices. No taxing of on-line purchases (not yet anyway). It's too good to last much longer. I'd better get going building some coolidors and stocking them.

Sorry mates, hit the wrong key when writing the price of a pck. of cigarettes. The price should say $4.50!!!!! Still it's f***ing expensive IMHO!! Luckily I don't smoke cigarettes, and NEVER did.

Beer is cheap though. In the store, a bottle of beer is $0.50 to $0.75. At a bar you'd have to pay $2.00 to $3.00, and $3.50 for a pint of tap beer. At very posh places you're charged $6.00 for a pint. I don't know how much they charge at nudie bars. LOL!

No price is too high for X when it comes to nudie bars. They named an annex of the Blue Fox for him. How do you think the term X Rated became popular?

Well,I can only say in response to that is,that at the same notorious BLUE FOX there was also a section called EL EL T n A section, named after you know who. HeHeHe. X

Actually, what I had intended to say before I had a slip of the tongue was:

E-Chick, let's play a round together. I will play a round with your Titleists and you can use your wedgie on my MaxFli.

Actually, I stayed in a little village in the highlands. Toured some castles and cathedrals and a few beautiful lochs (not Ness or Lomond)and hung out with the locals at Dougie Maclean's (Dougie is pronounced, roughly, Doogie) Pub. Never saw a glimpse of a golf course. I am such a duffer I would disgrace the Old Course, but next time I might buy the sweatshirt. You a golfer, EC?

NO, just like to wash the balls! JK! I've actually never attempted to golf other than miniature golf, LOL! I ALWAYS win at that game! My kids hate to play it with me! My hubby's a poor sport too...

I think you managed to threadjack your own thread and then proceeded to use multiple SEXUAL innuendos, and then tried to redeem yourself....
