Although I don't like Kerry, and think he's a moron, I do have to admit that that's a pretty good quote.

Perfect use of the English language. Clear, concise, well thought out, and leaves the respondent with nothing to do but answer the entire question (which is demanded in the form of a statement), or look like a complete ass as he tries to figure out all the big words.

Oh.....wait a minute....I see the mistake. Yep, the word "allows" should acually be "allow" with no plural form (no "s" at the end).

Let's take this part first. He is telling us he is NOT asking for a specific timetable for a withdrawal.

Now in this part he is saying that he IS asking for a specific timetable of authority and responsibility transfer that allows us to do what? BRING OUR TROOPS HOME. Um... that's just a fancy way of saying withdraw buddy.

So, to recap... he first says that he is not asking for a specific timetable on troop withdrawal, then he asks for a specific timetable on troop withdrawal using different words.

"I'm not asking you to tell me when we are pulling the troops out, but rather I am asking you to tell me the specific details regarding WHEN we plan to give Iraq back to Iraqi's, WHEN we plan to let them run their own government (which is what YOU say we are trying to help them do), and WHAT are the steps you are taking to establish a timeline that will reduce our numbers down to the very last troop leaving....in other words, tell me the specific PLAN that you proclaim to have!"

If I was Bush, i'd be honest. But he's a politician so he can't say this:

"Look, it's going to take as long as it's going to take. We aren't putting up a building, we're dealing with all kinds of uncertainty. If I nail it down for you, you're going to hold me to it and if I can't make it happen according to that timeline, because of all the uncertainties involved, i'm a liar. So it's a no win situation for me. We'll be done when we're done. You just rest assured that this administration and the troops on the ground over there are doing all that we can to help this country become self-sufficient again."

Adroomi, I heard this on fox news. Brit Hume played it as a lead in to the show. He followed it up with, "If any of you can tell us what he means, please let us know".

Ever think that it does make sense to some, but to the masses that sit glued to FOX news and will laugh at anything a "star" tells them to laugh at, and agree with the things they are told to agree with, it doesn't make sense? Perhaps because the are told it doesn't make sense?

I take this statement (and remember, I don't like Kerry) as a jab at GWB asking him to give specifics.......nothing more, nothing less.

Nobody did my homework for me....I did it myself. I earned first a BS, then an MS, then went to Terminal School. I earned every penny I made, and never asked anyone for anything. The hard work has paid off, and now I have everything my little heart desires, and I'm jealous of and angry at NOBODY for having more than me.

I'm happy with the choices I made and will leave my family, children, and public something valuable they can use when I'm gone.....security and my name.
