My girlfriend picked up this old certificate last weekend, and she gave it to me after she put it in a small frame. I don't know anything about it except that the company was from New Jersey.

Anyone have any more specific info on this? Any help would be appreciated.

This is a cool thing to have on the wall in the smoking room.

In the '20s and the '30s, there were two chains. The biggest was United Cigar Stores. They had 800 stores. They went into every major city. The other one was called Schulte Cigar Stores.

Cigar Magazine has a big artical on them.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I've had a hectic week, and I didn't have too much time to research this certificate.

I did see a few available online, and they look like they're in mint condition. This one is worn, and it looks like it was used over and over again just like real money.
