i have broken down and decided to try this solution stuff, just won a bottle. Do i just pour this stuff staight onto my humidifier in lieu of distilled water? No real clear directions anywhere, but that was my initial thought. Also, how much do i use? as much as regular ol distilled water. Sorry for the simple dumb question, but i don't want to mess anything up. thanks..

You have the right idea. Check out the cigar aficionado, cigar nexus, smoke magazine and cigar weekly or cigar insider websites. I know I saw some info on the subject on one of the websites (sorry.) Yah, you just put some in your humidifier every few months or so using distilled water when needed in between.

Instead of speeling it out here, I'm going to refer you to the alt.smokers.cigar FAQ, if only to avoid starting a battle royale with the heartfelt-but-scientifically-challenged.

There's a ton of questionable info on the WWW. I find that the ASC FAQ is reliable, and they refer you to the scientific derivations, if, like me, you want to check it out yourself. Many websites/stores have some prominent misconceptions posted.
