Stayed at the Paris last October. Really nice place, great resturants and right in the heart of the strip. Have fun.

Has anyone been to one of these? Is it worth the price?

I'll probably go again but I won't/wouldn't pay to go in,cigars were of marginal value and from what I heard while I was there it was like a cattle drive inside.

You can party pretty damn hard in Vegas on a $150 and get some good cigars to boot! LOL

Actually some of the guys I went with were able to pick up tickets for 1/2 price at the door from people who had extras.I still had no desire to go in as I was having a great time drinkin and smokin in Napoleans.

Went to Big Smoke Las Vegas last year with a bunch of friends and loved it. Great chance to sample lots of different brands, and we ended up with a box plus of all different cigars.

While you're in the event there are plenty of premium liquors(scotch, rum, tequila) to sample, and you can "sample" as often as you like. They also had a number of winemakers with samples, as well as beer. The food was excellent and plentiful. In my opinion, it was worth the money, despite the abundance of "other" partying options in Vegas.

I gotta find a way to bribe off the wife. 7 hr drive from here, party at the Big Smoke. Pass out in a truck stop and drive home. Hmmm. The wheels are turning.

Goin to Big Smoke Vegas. Have checked out hotel rates. Paris has jacked theirs way up. Bally's is not bad.
Let's party!

Sounds like its going to be a blast!

There are cheaper hotel packages than the Paris, but I figured it would be easier to stumble to my room if I stayed at the same hotel as the event.

The Flamingo has great rates...just down the street from Paris.

Either U guys are Vegas virgins or you have a lot of dough to toss around. I like to stay at Old town Vegas. U can get a $40-$60 room any time. Quick shuttle to the strip. It's alway better to spend your money on having fun than on a room you are going to see 2 or 3 times all weekend. One time I stayed at La Quinta....better room than most of the casinos. Cost $49 when you couldn't get a casino room for less than $150 (There was a couple conventions, softball tourneys and a fight that weekend).

I sometimes sleep in my SUV. It saves a bundle. Another tip: Bring your own food.

rayder ... I agree with you on the room ... the inside of my eyelids looks about the same in one room as another ...

anything more than clean and comfortable is a luxury ... don't get me wrong ... sometimes I WANT luxury, but mostly, I'd rather spend both my time and my money on food/drink/entertainment/other

I've stayed at the Plaza at the end of Fremont St in the downtown area. Nice casino and nice rooms. I've seen rooms advertised there for $35 a night during the week. Also, the Stratosphere is having a tough time filling rooms because of an inconvenient location and they have rates in the $35 range.

Been to LV loads of times over the last 20 years.
Spending a couple of extra bucks for a little extra luxury is diffinetly worth it. Especially if you gamble a fair amount and get comp'd for the room anyway.

And only guys who split 10's pay the rack rate.
Everything is negotiable.

A number of us from Oregon go every year. I even took the wife ONCE. I usually stay at the Gold Coast. I prefer the locals joints for gambling and they have an excellent sports book. Service is good and the black jack tables start at five bucks a hand. A little more in my range than the twenty dollar minimums at the Paris.
