Cool ... DC is beautiful at night . . . I once went down to the mall after smoking a fine ahem . . . and was checking out the Veitnam Memorial and heard the most beautiful flute music wafting thru the area . . . I followed it to the Lincoln Memorial where inside some dude was playing . . . the music echoed thru the area . . . DC is Beautiful at Night . . .

Very nice pic. Do they still have that area on the mall with all the Christmass trees for each state? I was in DC for Christmas time back in 1999. It was very nice.

Thanks again all, glad you like it. Yes to the National Christmas Tree and all the state trees, it's on the Ellipse (near the White House). I'm trying to get back in to that particular tree, hopefully soon!

I was waiting for some kind of negative comment about the US Capitol or the Capitol Christmas Tree, so thanks adroomi, impressive. I used to be a police officer there and I'm not exactly sure of what you're talking, please educate me?

You would post something negative about a new born child......Gee, it kinda sorta gets old!

I'm talking about the homeless folks that sleep in the park across from the Whitehouse mostly....and the one's that sleep on the Mall at night.....the one's that we should not forget this Christmas either. You were a cop there? Were you Secret Service? I thought the Capital was guarded by SS guys?

Charlie,

It's not meant to be negative....just a reminder. I have my ways of doing things, and my reasons......I admit, it sort of spoils it when we are forced to think that everything is NOT so peachy keen as we tell folks it is.
