I saw a little ad for a photographer in a local paper. The paper is looking for photographers and said "its not a job, its an opportunity". So I emailed them last night and gave them a quick resume. I just got an email back today and this is what it says:

"We're hoping to find someone to help us cover the Seahawks game on Saturday - very short-notice and Christmas Eve and all, we know. But if you're interested, give me a call today if you get a chance."

I just left a message with him, trying not to sound like an excited little school boy 🙂

Thanks guys! Yes, I've been involved with photography for about 18 years now. I'm just hoping he means INSIDE the stadium. I've already got images forming.

I just talked to the editor. I'll be at the game, but not on the field (their paid photographers will be there). I've got pre-game festivities AND THE SEAGALS!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Thanks! It's official, I have the Press Pass in my possession. They said if there is good reader reaction they will continue the program and I will be able to shoot photos at the playoff games as well. They want me on the field for pre-game and half-time and in the stands during the game. So all my friends will be emailing the paper Monday 🙂

Make sure you wear some rain gear Bro. We're expecting a couple inches. BTW, see if you can get a close-up of Mike Holmgren one-siding his nose. You know, plugging one nostril with his hand, tilting his head and blowing out the other side. They caught him doing that on TV last year. It was hilarious.

I'll be sure to watch for it 🙂

But during the action I'm to be in the stands getting fan photo's.

I'm expecting the rain and should be able to stay mostly dry. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to keep my camera dry. I might be putting seran wrap on my zoom lens and a zip lock over the body. I gotta test it out when I get home from work.

The only other decision is which hat to wear. The choices are Tiger Woods, Torano, Bolivar, or my Outback hat. The Outback will keep me dryer, but is harder to shoot with. The rest are ball caps.

Woot! I'm on the field! Colts are warming up now. They're smaller than I thought they'd be. Heck, I'm bigger than 2 of them! Kickers.......heh 🙂
