Hello my fellow BOTL,
My name is Patrick and I am 39. I live in Hull, MA, a small peninsula located on the South Shore of MA. I was born and raised in Bahston (note the lack of accent).
I got a grat lady to share my life with and her daughter, besides being all of eighteen, is not so bad either.
I am a recovering addict and have not touched a drink of substance in over 10 years. Not a zealot, just used up my life's supply and that was that.
I am a painter by trade and have owned my own little company for years.
My life's passion is fishing, mainly salt water sport fishing. I am second captain on two charter boats and hold a masters license. I also am a successful tournament fisherman, outdoor writer and seminar speaker. For 10 years I have been a leading advocate in the political world for the salt water fishing community. I am currently on the national staff of the Recreational Fishing Alliance and am VP of the national board of the United Mobile Sport Fishermen. My favorite fishing is for Striped Bass but I fish for many species all over the country.
I started smoking cigars I stole from my Uncle many years ago and have come a long way from those first ElProductos. Like many BOTL in waiting, I have gone through periods of smoking daily and times when I smoked very few 'gars. I have had a 10 count 'dor for twenty years and always have a couple Opus and ISOM's for special occasions.
My taste profile is changing but right now Petersons, Griffins (both regular & Fuerte), and RP vintage 1990 are my favorites. I frequently smoke with my best friend Bob who is into mild smokes and I must say that a Temple Hall is always a good thing.
I started lurking on Cbid a bout 2 and 1/2 months ago and due to my experience with fishing online communities, I think I see something good here.
I joined the newbee trade thread and am sending out my first package to MR. Bassdude tomorrow. I am grateful to this BOTL for the info he has openly shared in directing me to smart bidding as I sample the world of cigars and develop my personal likes and dislikes.
I look forward to being a part of this thig you guys and gals ahve here and hope I can contribute to the fun.
