whether you like him or not, you have to be impressed by his ability to remember so many cases and even after 10 hours of grilling he is able to deal with some very complicated questions.

i have never seen anyone that impressed me so much with his stamina and cool under pressure.

You think Alito is more impressive than Roberts was?

I've only been been able to listen to a few minutes here and there while in my car, but I agree that he seems to be doing well. At the very least he has been showing remarkable restraint. I would have blasted Kennedy in the face with a rhetorical shotgun if he came after me like he did Alito.

I'd be soooo tempted to ask teddy, "killed anyone lately, ted?"

Between Roberts, Alito and Scalia, the court's IQ is at a height we haven't seen in years.

Did anyone notice Chucky Schumer (sp?) throw in the towel at the end?

He asked Alito about a bill that would make end "anchor babies" by reqiuring one parent to not be illegal before automatic citizenship for the baby.

He asked in a very pointed (chuck is obviously in the tey camp on this one)if alito thought it was constitutional. He also stated that if Alito did not answer him directly on this, he would not vote for alito.

Sounds like all there other nonsense didn't poll well and they had to change reasons for the upcoming filibuster.

I also enjoyed DI Fi telling the swimmer to finish reading the last line of one of his questions. She also told him what the last line was. His mind is so pickled he can't find his *sshole with both hands and a funnel.

I like judge Alito.

He kind of messed up the OJ trial but seems to be doing better now.

LOL! One of my favorite local Mexican restaurants features the Ito Burrito in honor of Judge Ito of OJ fame. It's a high-carb burrito that commemorates Ito's reputation as a runner.

If he does Rick I'm sure Oj lets him get away with murder. After all, OJ owes him that...
