A Bouncing Betty Long Range Boomerang Bomb

Back before Christmas Dup fired a shot at me, but it didn't arrive. It had my correct address on it, but wasn't delivered because of postage due. Dup sent so many this one didn't get paid for. Because Dup got cute with the return address it finally landed at the Richard Petty Fan Club Headquarters. It looks like they have visited about four or five states.

I got a note in the mail last week from the RPFC asking if I knew anything about this strange package. They were slightly afraid of it. I called them and they agreed to send it along as long as I paid all the postage. It arrived yesterday, only a couple months late.

I opened it to find a nice group of cigars and Christmas greetings from Dup. There was a small problem . . . . . . it evidently has spent it's "waiting" time on top of a heater. To say "dry and cracking" would be an understatement. I almost cried. These are some good sticks.

So now I have them in a special humi getting slowly rehydrated, hoping to bring them back to life. It looks like about half of them might be saved if I'm real careful, and take it real slow. I even put the cracked and flaking ones in the humi, just couldn't bear to toss 'em.

Wasn't Dup's fault, his heart was in the right place, but these sticks look like they really had a rough trip. They're safe now Dup, and in intensive care.

Thanks brother, and I'll give an update and medical bulletins as they recover.

I'm with the husker on this one. Very strange, indeed.

Dup - The package had my address correctly, but was returned to the Richard Petty Fan Club for "postage due" . . . which ain't kosher because it had a "DC" tag on it when it got to the fan club. I think you paid, and the clerk forgot to hit that box with his stamp. If you mailed a bunch of them he could easily miss one.

I don't have the DC# because we couldn't be sure whoose or what it was, so I had them (at the RPFC) open it so we could see what was inside (while I was on the phone to them). When they told me what it was, and read your note, I said send it COD. They had to repackage it to send it.

Don't sweat the charges, I got it. It's a strange one, but hopefully I'll recover some of them. Bless their hearts, they're sleeping now, very tired from the long journey. I just thought you'd like to hear the strange story.

but i'm fearing the worst for the better ones

Dup, I didn't inventory them like that. All gifted cigars to me are special. I have 'em segregated, I'll look at them in a day or two and check on them. They're resting in the "special" tubador, with the super premiums, cubans, etc. I have them together in the box you sent. Tuck
