I always keep some of the Duques on hand especially the robusto size, good for a night out with the guys or a leisurely Sat. afternoon. Never had a bad one yet!. They could one of the most overlooked cigars.

I've purchased several boxes in the Churchill size; I love em', Great Smoke! Another you should try that I belive is comparable is Dos Hermanos, one of the best presentations that I've ever seen. When you give them as a gift the person being presented surely believes that you spent a large wad of cash on them.

Well we don't see eye to eye on the Dos Hermanos, I thought they were boring, and the box of Churchill wasn't worth the 1.5 hours to smoke. However Duque fans should also check out El Mejor, I love these. I would suggest aging them a bit though, as if not they are great for a third of the cigar and then tend to go bitter, but the ones that I have aged for only 3 months are excellent. It is indeed rich and flavorful, but also a very cool smoke and very smooth.

I have enjoyed both the Gran Duque and Torpedo sizes. To me, they are very flavorful with a touch of sweet. I would recommend them to anyone, except those that want a very mild cigar.

I have five gran duques. Are they really that good? I have been dying to try one but just don't want to sit outside of my college for along time because they are huge.

Sorry about that last post....I forgot to add anything:)

The Gran Duque is a worth the time in my opinion. Very smooth, nice draw and I agree...a little sweet. Take the time to enjoy it...you won't be dissapointed.

They are sweet, and for me, a little too much so. If you like sweet, you might try Carbonell. Very similar.

i don't think the Carbonell's are as sweet as the Oliveros Reyes Sweets...The Carbonell is a sugar foot, where the Oliveros is a honey and molasses foot. I personally favor the Oliveros..as a dessert(?) cigar.

Love them Do-K's! I have had the Torps and Gran Duques, and have found them to be quite flavorful. And yes, there is a hint of sweetness. But just like my Frosted Flake, they are Grrreat!!
