I'm here at my mother-in-law's house for the third day because we still have no electricity in the Louisiana town where I live. The power lines won't be fixed for another 5-7 days! The main reason I left was because I was concerned the heat would hatch every #*$#@ beetle in my cigar collection. I can live with no sewage, lights, or water, but tobacco beetles!?!
I have to go outside to smoke, but at least my beloved gars have AC. I think I'll go fire up an Industrial Press and remind myself it could be a LOT worse.

I love the image of you toting your beloved cigars to safety. Like something from The Odyssey.

Glad to hear that you and your Cigars made it to safety. I went through a similar experience with Alicia, 2+weeks of no power.
I keep enough camping supplies to last a month.

My sympathies go out for you and yours.

CJBully Martha Stewart cigar tip #48

for all of our friends in hurricane paths, flood plains, and houses with leaky roofs, your igloodor/coolerdor beside being airtight will also float in water and is waterproof. who could ask for more!

to think, when we were kids, we used to get in the coolerdors and float down the street with a stick smacking water mocassins. Who knew.
