bristles are yellow. What's up with that? (They were white when I bought it.)

I hope this post is taken seriously.

Maybe you should take up painting, Van Gogh saw a lot of yellow. Then he shot himself in the gut.

Rinse the brush, dingle berry! Then re-brush your teeth and your tongue and then rinse the brush again...if all else fails to clear it up, soak it in hydrogen peroxide and let it air dry and/or put it in the dishwasher...

But the easiest solution is to keep buying new ones...you didn't say when you bought it. 1948?

If it still has bristles its still good. Soak it in some bleach for a few days. Not the wussy scented kind. Rinse it with gasoline then brush away.

You Duke Ellington fans sing along, to the tune of "Don't Get Around much Anymore." You Godsmack fans listen and learn what real song lyrics are all about:

Missed the toilet last night.
Shat all over the floor.
Mopped it up with my toothbrush.
Don't brush my teeth much anymore.

Isn't that an Emenem song?

You are supposed to use several toothbrushes a year. Spend 3 bucks, buy a new one. Colgate or Crest brands are a good investment. Take care of your teeth, they will take care of you.

Maybe the one that's yellowish is a couple months old. I also use a Sonicsomethingorother electric that I get automatic shipment of a replacement head every 3 months. The Sonic doesnt have the yellow appearance.

The yellow color on the manually operated brush (lol)is kind of pretty. I think it's because I use it so soon after a cigar -so I dont get that heavy duty aftertaste- that it is picking up a fresh bunch of whatever nicotine/tar comes out of a gar, and it may have something to do with the bristles on this particular brush.

Thanks for all the good advice. I mostly posted so you guys could goof on it. Don't you know me by now? I am married to a dental hygenist and I am in for a cleaning this morning, just so you guys don't think I am from WV, nicknamed Tooth, and married to a relative.

Hmmm. 2nd cousins aren't really relatives, are they?

Seriously, though: Tailgater may be onto something. I know a guy who was going through a divorce and his wife confided in a friend (and it got to me) that she was cleaning the toilet bowl with his tooth brush out of spite (I never told him, figured he wouldn't want to know).
