... or 'Park of the Pigeons'. These birds were a incredible site to see. At one point I was covered in birds from head to toe, they were hanging off my clothes ... and only got crapped on once!

Located in 'Old San Juan' (the town was built in the 1500's), there were literaly hundreds and hundreds of them ...

The funny thing ... is they did not flock to me until I lit my cigar. Most of the people would buy bags of cracked corn to feed them, but a local old woman just laughed and said, "those must be the birds that like to smoke" ...

Slim, just how good was the Oliva O Maduro? I've bought a few for a lot of people, and have 2 for myself. Right now they are sleeping, but I'd like to know what is in store for me!

Slim - did you pick up any beauties down there, and how were the prices??

They were all over the place, even in the high-end jewlery stores ... but the largest and best one I found was on Calle Fortaleza. They actually had three stores, two on Fortaleza and one on San Justo.

It was called 'The Cigar House' At The Doll House and had one of the most incredible sellections of Cigars I have ever seen at any one tobacconist. And the acessories were just as incredible ... they had everything.

The only problem I had was with the prices. Sure, one of their stores even had OpusX ... but at $30 each and up. For some reason, the Fuente cigars were totally overpriced, but they had almost every Fuente cigar made, and offered boxes.

I did pick up a couple of the new Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra Cigars, which the owner claimed just came out a few weeks ago. They are quite good, and reasonably priced ...

Is that 'THE' one you were referring to? If not ... I'm going to be kicking myself for missing that one too!

That's the one Slim! Prices were outrageous,selection huge and even had the Cubans by the box. Looks like you had a great time.

DrMaddVibe -- They mail to the US ... the owner said they have many regular US customers. I just wish the prices weren't so out of line on certain cigars.

But they did have it all ... and the humidors were beautiful. They had the Montecristo Pryamid one which was georgeous, plus many more ...

Brings back memories of the years that I spent in Puerto Rico (Fajardo, Vieques, Callei, Caguas, and San Juan).
Still have family there.
