how long do you wait to remind a botl of a trade?

especially when he is so highly regarded?

Since I am one that needs reminders, I'll speak up. I find it very helpful when they remind me 3-5 days after we agreed to the trade cause they should have them by then. Do it via e-mail.

Now I feel safe here cause I know we have no trades.

This scares the poop out of me because I forget stuff like this.

If it were me (and who knows....) I would appreciate a gentle remainder after a few days.

I agree. My life sometimes goes in nine directions. I *try* to print out the email/pm with the address and lay that on my desk, as a reminder of the transaction.

I screwed up once on this board. I did a PIF/PIB (don't remember which) with Eric and boxed it up, but never mailed the box, which was sitting near a pile of other boxes. Weeks later, Eric reminded me. I felt silly.

So, if anyone is waiting on a package from me and it doesn't arrive in a very timely manner, remind me.

I'm with the group on this. If it were me, I would want you to call me on it with a gentle or not so gentle e-mail reminder.

Hey nine,

In order for the VERY upstanding and fine BOTL to remain anonymous, he sent me this with an apology and asked me to post it for him.....

And adding just a thought . . . . . always do it by e-mail, privately, never on the boards. I know I've forgotten once or twice, and sure hated it. And sometimes there's mistakes, like:

He didn't get it (wrong address, lost in the mail, etc.)

He misread the return address or screen name, thought it was from someone else.

He's been sick, or had trouble in the family.

An example: Hoss sent me a nice fiver a while back, and I completely missed a very special gift hidden in the packing at the bottom of the box. My wife found it later when tossing the box. I had never thanked him for his nice gift.

Thanks for being patient, and not giving him grief before giving him a chance.

Tuck
