thanks ... I needed that ... just got through pretty much expressing myself on this subject over on the pic-board ...

what can I say? ... Saturday, the Giants had it won, the Angels were beat and it showed on their faces ... then Spiezio cranked that dinger just 3 feet out of reach into the right field seats and it was Topsy-Turvey ... with the Angels topsy and the Giants turvey ... that same beat look was written all over every Giant's face by the 7th inning last night, including that of owner Peter McGowan ...

The Giant's outfield play was really weak in the last two games and Angels came up sparkling, especially Erstad on those "layouts" both Sat and Sun ... Dusty started the wrong guy and the forboding feeling many of us had about that soon turned to ugly reality ... we got pretty much what I expected we'd get from Livan and the pitching change that followed proved pretty conclusively that Reuter SHOULD have been the starter last night once you accept the Sat debacle that required a game to be played last night at all ...

Dusty'll move to Seattle, Kent will be priced out of the budget here, the age of too many other guys is going to require too much rebuilding to be done for the Giants to be back in the Series any time soon and that doesn't even begin to address the biggest problem of all ...

Who's the new manager going to be and is he gonna be someone who can successfully deal with the churlishness of our "greatest player of all time", or will #25 become even more sulky/pouty and give less hustle on balls hit to the infield and less effort to his mediocre defensive skills?? Is it even possible for him to give less?? ... guess we're soon to find out ...
