Does anyone out there use these "Cigar Savors", and do they really work as well as keeping the cigar smokeable for a couple of days or so. Any suggestions as to where to get good cigar Savors, and about how much?
I've had to end some of my smokes too soon lately, and I hate wasting good cigars.

I have one that I used a few times. Can't say the cigar tasted any different when I relit it vs. if I would have left it out and relit it.

Yes, they do work ... I've used one every day for years.

You leave your cigar out, and it will dry out. The Cigar Savor keeps them supple and air tight.

Before you put your cigar in it ... you must purge it first. Instructions on how to do that come with them.

CI sells them about as cheap as you can get them, but watch for auctions here. I paid $9 for mine ...

After a few hours I let it go to the compost heap.

I find it easier for me to give myself enough time to finish the cigar I pick out. I have enough differing sizes that I tailor my cigar to the time I have.

When I am unsure...I either skip the cigar break or pick out one of the baby Mac's or CAO's I keep in the glove box.

Maybe I'll give myself enough time to learn to like relights.

I got one as a gift a few years back, tried it once, then threw it away. Found that the quality of the smoke deteriorated too much. Wouldn't recommend it. Bottom line is if I'm gonna smoke a stick I was that concerned about finishing, I'd damn well make sure I have the time upfront.

Not a problem. I have one I don't use if you are interested in it. I believe I got it from this site. If you have 6 CAO cigar bands I'll trade it to you for them.

I have one. It has been fine for me, but I only use for very short term storage.

Yea, storage until you could get someplace to finish it. Is it possible to long term stor previously shinged sticks? Seems like a loosing battle for taste.

I agree with Slimboli. I own one as well, and I live in cold climate (I only smoke outside the home), so I use the Cigar Savor religiously. It works great. I used to leave mine outside in the cold, and you could only imagine how it smoked after that. At any rate, I would recommend it if you cannot finish your cigar in a single sitting. I would also recommend if you have the time to smoke your cigar in a sitting, to do so. The only negative thing I can say about it is that after the 3rd or 4th re-light, it does seem to taste abit stale. Overall, a good purchase, I would highly recommend IMHO.

Thanks to a fellow poster who gave me one in a trade a while ago, I finally had the ability to try one, Overall, it works for short term storage (not more than one day) which was exactly what I needed. Anyone interested in more details, email me.

I love it. Carry it in the car everywhere, thereby allowing me to have a quick smoke between business appoointments. Cigars stay really fresh and relight relatively easily. Now if I could only eliminate the cigar odor and breath?
