Authorized Fuente dealers generally don't gouge the prices as some of the other "non-authorized" Fuente shops. Prices should generally range between $8-22 for the smaller to the larger sizes. I've seen some of the larger sizes vary as much as $2-3 over suggested retail. There was a post here a while back where someone listed the general retail pricing. For me, they are a 2-3 times a year smoke (special occasions) and I just let them rest from year to year, replacing the ones I smoke when I can.

Some folks are perfectly happy driving a Volkswagen Beetle, while others aren't happy unless they have a Mercedes ...

It's all a matter of personal preference ... but because of the limited production, the rare tobaccos used, and the quality of construction ... it is definitely much more refined in an OpusX.

It is a great smoke and because of price and availibility I have been trying to slowly accumulate them. I am up to 8 sticks. Yumbo!

I got one. But that's enough for me. I'll probably save it till I get a new job or something.

My first Opus was gifted to me by my very wealthy boss.. I keep it for over a year..

Had a girlfriend that was quite well to do and had a dad that was a surgeon and supposedly enjoyes cigars...
well... I wanted to impress him and gifted him my Opus... I dont think he had a clue and basically didnt even thank me... prick!

Need I say the x-girlfriend is toast!!

Haven't had an Opus yet but paid or should I say overpaid for a ISOM Cohiba at a hotel in Sao Paulo Brazil and it wasn't worth it.

The cigars were well kept in a humi at the bar but I should have saved my money and came home and bought 2 Opus X's

I've had a couple Opus X's and they are good smokes, but I believe they are overpriced. Saw some Opus X Perfec. X at a local place near San Diego selling for $55, and found some at JR's in NJ for $18. Prices do vary tremendously. Also, saw some good fakes in Punta Cana DR.
The tobacco used is rare, and this initial DR sun grown wrapper by AF received much publicity. This full flavored cigar has lived up to it's hyped, but after much seeking, and finally tasting this "forbidden fruit", I've realized there's a lot other good smokes out there that are easier to find, and with a "stable price".

I have purchased many opus x cigars and have found that they are worth the money, if you find the right place to purchase them. Rain City Cigars, in Portland I think has great prices, for example $8 for a perfection #2, compared to the $20-$30 in many places. There are many other stores throught the nation which also have great prices-check the fuente family cigar site for authorized opus x dealers.

The local cigar bar Club Habanos (authorized Fuente dealer) Has them occasionally. Run $15-22. Depending on size and availability.

I swear I'll pop in and try one some day over a nice single malt.

I'm hoping that the fall (Xmass) Fuente shipment arrives soon. I've still got a dozen on hand, most with a year or so on them.

The large phila. store sells the #5's for $7.50, for that price they are great, and worth every penny.

If you convert these to US$ they run from $23 to $38 per stick or $840 to $1,218 per box. SO NOT WORTH IT!!

Opus X is a very good cigar ... it is not, however, so good that it is all that far beyond the realm of other very good cigars, some of which cost far less ... if, for example, you can buy a PAM for significantly less, I say go for the PAM and use the $$ saved to buy something else ...

If I might inquire, what is a 'PAM'?

I guess I was lucky to get 2 OpusX cigars in my recent bomnardment. I reckon I'll have to hold on to those.

And the latest and greatest to get instead is the Bucanero Full Sail. THAT is the best cigar I have smoked in a loooong time. Trust me, you gotta try this one.

Mr. Mean speaks the truth. The Bucanero Full Sail is fantastic to say the least and at $7-$8 ea. is cheaper than Opus X or PAMs.

I'm going to try some others from the Bucanero line and let you know what I think. I have a Peg Leg (a new release from their EL Capitan line, 4.5x52 petite belicosa clasico) and it looks delicias also.
