O'Donnell makes light of witchcraft comment

O'Donnell's comments about witchcraft were made during a
1999 taping of comedian Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect"
show.

"I dabbled into witchcraft. I never joined a coven," she said on
the show, a clip of which hit the Internet as O'Donnell canceled
Sunday appearances on two national news shows, citing
commitments to attend church and the GOP picnic in Delaware.

didn't sarah have a witch doctor clear her church of it's demons.

They're unemployed and looking for government jobs. (I think that makes them Democrats by strict definition.)

The illiberal lefties should LOVE her then.

She is expressing a wonderful alternative belief system.

Liberals are such haters not to embrace her!

So just to be clear:

honest reply regarding a brief interest in "witchcraft" 20 years ago means wacko.

admitted Coke Head 20 years ago means white house material.

And all this from a guy who believes crop circles are from alien space ships.

Truth is indeed stranger than fiction.

Mind you, this dazzling criticism of O'Donnell comes from a guy who considers himself a Jew, but also claims to not care about God.

Why are Maher's religion and beliefs or apathy about religion and/or G_d relevant?

If she really said what the clip indicates she said and all of it is true, it is up to voters to process things and cast their votes any way they want to.

Hopefully, if she is elected, she will do a good job for her constituents and this country.

Figured these would be a good fit for this thread topic:

VP Joe Biden: Biden was caught on amateur camera talking about an elusive connection between Dunkin' Donuts and Indian people. "In Delaware, the largest portion of the population is Indian-Americans," said Biden. "You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.... I'm not joking."

And this one ...Telling wheelchair bound Missouri Senator Chuck Graham to stand up to be recognized at a rally. "Chuck, stand up, let the people see you," said Biden at the rally. He than noticed the wheelchair and added, "Oh, God love ya...What am I talking about?"

And this: "A man I'm proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!" --Joe Biden, at his first campaign rally with Barack Obama after being announced as his running mate, Springfield, Ill., Aug. 23, 2008

Party of inclusion ... "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man." –Joe Biden, referring to Barack Obama at the beginning of the 2008 Democratic primary campaign, Jan. 31, 2007

Raising 'em from the dead ... "His mom lived in Long Island for ten years or so. God rest her soul. And- although, she's- wait- your mom's still- your mom's still alive. Your dad passed. God bless her soul." --Joe Biden, on the mother of Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen, who is very much alive, Washington, D.C., March 17, 2010

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened." –Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time. (I'm sure he talked about when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor next).

Actually, my original post was directed at Rick.

Second, I'm willing to bet that whatever dumb things Bill Maher has done when he was a teenager would make O'Donnell's "missteps" seem irrelevent. Then again, Maher is an idiot, will most likely continue to be an idiot, and has thus far never grown out of the "young and dumb" stage of his life. And from what I've heard from some of the "little people" who have met him, he is an insufferable a**hole. But, it is very easy for creeps like Maher to point out the adolescent imperfections of others than it is to be a decent person themselves.

Again, people in glass houses...

Maher jerks off to Dennis Miller's standup routines and dreams of the day he can finally come up with something that is smart and funny.
