It's not that he was stupid, but he was tunnel-visioned. Probably a good thing he didn't go to Vietnam. He might have ended up with John McCain, or worse. I'd hate to think we would have missed out on those 8 years.

Being President during 9-11 , holding the stock market together then and keeping the nation safe after all the threats and white powder incidents is probably only equalled by Abe Linclon holding America together during the Civil War.

Unfortunatley both were eventually assasinated by Democrats..
