So, the wife decides to have order pizza on Saturday because we all decided to work out in the yard, and she didn't want to start cooking at 6:00pm. Plus, she had this coupon for a local franchise pizza joint who was selling two pizzas for around $10.00. However, she doesn't like the bread sticks at this place - and she's gotta have bread sticks when she has pizza (for whatever reason - so she decides to order salad and bread sticks at one pizza place (another national franchise establishment), and then shoot over to the second pizza place where they have the cheap pizza.

So she comes back, and tells me an interesting tale. She got in a conversation with someone at the pizza place where she got bread sticks and salad. According to them, in the last month, the price of cheese went up dramatically. They had to raise prices accordingly, and in doing so their sales were down.

She gets into a conversation with the guy at the place where she picks up the pizzas and he tells her that, indeed, the price of cheese just jumped up. But, he's also the victim of a double-whammy. This particular pizza place is in an area where they've been doing road construction for about two years now - all of it paid for by that $800 billion dollar stimulus legislation that Idi Amin Jr. passed when he first slinked into office. Because they've been tearing up the roads near his place for the last two years, his business has fallen off dramatically. The main reason is because the construction has been so extensive and so prolonged, everyone avoids the area. Business has dropped off so bad that the guy is selling pizzas at such a reduced rate that he's not making any money on them. He's just trying to minimize his losses at this point.

So, two different pizza places in financial turmoil. Both of them have been in business at their respective locations for over 15 years, and both of them may go under because of the wholesale idiocy and bungling of Idi Amin Jr.

Some local politician must have submitted a request for stimulus money to make those road repairs because he/she was tired of hearing complaints from his/her constituents about how bad that/those road(s) were and the politician got tired of telling those constituents that they just don't have the money for road repairs but I hope you are enjoying your low property taxes. 😣
