don't get carried away with excitement about this 'defunding' ... even though this IS potentially bad news for the Obama/Pelosi/Reid national healthcare bill, it hasn't been killed or repealed, just temporarily not implemented due to lack of funding ... that could change during the coming year, perhaps as soon as March ... the actual fight over this has yet to take place

What do you mean it needs funding? They said it would pay for itself.

I find myself mixed on Obamacare. Overall, I think that the healthcare bill is a mistake. Having said that, there are definitely portions I like - like being able to cover my 21 year old son (jobs in that age group are scarce to come by these days and the ones that do pretty much do not offer health plans), like my insurance company not being able to deny coverage based on pre-existing conditions......and I also agree with the provisions that require people to buy some form of insurance.

The problem with that is that the folks responsible about their health care are not the issue - it is the freeloaders and irresponsible people. And they are a huge burden. And the responsible folks are pissed off about this whole mess.

Like many things, what is a simple concept and probably a good one at that was just ruined by all the nonsense that the congressional folks added, the political landmines they just sidestepped around and did not address (tort reform anyone?), and all the positioning and political maneuvering and... viola....an abortion is hatched
