"Even though we've answered these concerns, I've got to say I suspect there's still some who are trying to move the goal posts on us one more time. You know, they said 'we needed to triple the border patrol.' Well, now they're going to say we need to quadruple the border patrol, or they'll want a higher fence. Maybe they'll need a moat. Maybe they'll want alligators in the moat. They'll never be satisfied. I understand. That's politics. But the truth is the measures we put in place are getting results,"
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/05/10/obama_mocks_border_enforcement_theyll_need_a_moat_with_alligators.html The answer as I've said clearly all along (and we should've instituted it on 9/12/01!!!) is Minefields, Gun Turrets and Predator Drones.
What the Kenyan King says and what his administration does are vastly 2 different things. He's fought to defund a border fence, run guns along the border and ignores the gangland violence in the border towns.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/17/us/17fence.html No, he's in favor of amnesty for those that are here in this nation illegally and wants to create a pathway for them to stay and obtain citizenship. Nevermind all of the procedures and people that are doing it legally...NOOOOO! Let's create a new lane for those that can't even adhere to our laws now? That's insanity in its purest form. America was built on real immigration, assimilation and the pride of actually becoming a US citizen. Instead look at us now. Parts of major cities where if you walk in a 7-11 and speak English they don't understand you!
I applaud him for continuing what Bush started with more boots on the ground, but what good is it if they're not doing anything? Moats and alligators? Yeah, he can kid about it all day long and make political hay of the issue but he won't address the most important issue on the table. Illegal Immigration. It's bankrupting states and federal agencies. Let's make jokes about it and give away citizenship though. Who doesn't like "free candy"?
