Was there last year in June. HUGE place, very, very impressive.

Beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful place. I climbed the dome to the observation deck on the top - incredible view. Did St. Pauls and Westminister Abbey in London, the Doumo in Florence, Winchester Cathedral in Hampshire, Papal Basilica in Assisi, Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem (West Bank, Israel), and the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

I love the designs, frescos, and history of the churches.

Did ya get me a Pope hat from the gift shop?:-k

Beautiful pic. I was there early one August morning, pretty much had the whole place to myself (Italians & European tourists being notoriously late risers...) Did you happen to see the mini-Zamboni that polishes the marble floor?

I didn't see a zamboni. Prolly CROS was driving it.
