Mark Cuban is a douche - I certainly wasn't rooting for him to win in any way, shape, or form. And, I bet you can't find more than about 3 people in the U.S. who truly like him and his mouth. I was rooting for Dirk and the rest of the team that worked their butts off getting into the playoffs and then defeating all their opponents to make it to the championship game. I would agree the Heat didn't play up to their potential at all. Hell, Boston didn't play up to their potential. Nor did Orlando or the Lakers. But, you got to give the Dallas team some credit for playing as hard as they did.
To say Dallas didn't win because the Heat didn't play fully isn't right. Dallas just happened to be the team that jelled the best and everyone on the team played to their full potential. As such, it took the fight out of many teams. That's how most games are won in the end - who played harder and who wanted it more. The Heat just didn't want it bad enough to play their best. In the end, Dallas is a great team that won fair and square. Feel free to hate Mark Cuban along with everyone else. But, the Dallas Mavericks are the ones who played the game and won in the end - not Mark Cuban.
