Took a lot of pictures while we were in Alaska the first of the month but this one made me nervous.

My son saw this bear head into the woods up near the glacier in Juneau and he followed it, watched him grab this Salmon out of the creek and start to walk off with it.

Now I have a lot of "woodland" experiance, he does not but i have told him many times about bears, stay away, make noise etc., and I chastized him for being to close, he laughed and told me he was with someone that was a lot slower runner then he was!

One of my co-workers has been sending us "pics of the day" from his recent Alaska trip. He sent 1 of a black bear about 20 yds away while they were fishing for salmon (just like the bear) from a 14' aluminum boat. Another pic was of a grizzly which looked to be almost the same distance away (not sure how much zoom he was using on the camera). There were so many salmon they were bouncing off the bottom/underside of the boat...I guess it's a good thing for them there was plenty of fish to go around when a bear is fishing in the same area.

One of the better pics he took was of a bald eagle flying away with the bones (sushi) of a salmon he had just got done carving. And another pic of him standing next to a king salmon which was just as tall/long as him.
