Well,

Since my Grandmother is dead ,I suppose it's ok to give the recipe...

Cut whole chicken into pieces.

Soak in Buttermilk a few hrs.

Fill a bag with a couple cups of flour.

Add salt, pepper and poultry seasoning to the flour

In a HEAVY skillet melt and heat up enough lard to 1/2 cover the chicken,

dredge chicken in flour ,shake off excess.

Put chicken in skin side down and cover with a lid.Reduce heat

Fry approx 10 mins and turn, replace lid and fry approx 10 more mins.

Remove lid ,raise temp and finish browning on both sides.

drain well on rack or paper towels.

Use a few Tbl spoons of the fat and some of the seasoned flour to make gravy...

The Lard is the secret.

Not Veggie oil or shortening,,,
