Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos clock, never needs winding. It winds itself and runs on temperature changes in your house.
Wanted one of these for a long time but wanted it at my price and I finally got one.

Congratulations on your gift, that is a masterpiece of horology. What powers it, ethyl chloride power source?

^Yes, you are either a chemist, engineer, watch geek or a google'r!

I found it last year and the guy wouldn't sell it at what I wanted to pay, went back last month and he had two. Made my offer again and he took it!

I'll be moving my favorite Uncle's clock off the mantel (sorry Uncle jack!) and setting this gem there instead. I hope he will understand.

Yes Sir, I am a Watchgeek (orologo). I collect wrist watches and pocket watches. How about yourself, do you collect as well?
That piece alone would put me in the NBZ for at least a year.

Did someone say watches?

Nice Atmos! The only thing that tends to fail on these is the bellows, and those are not too hard to find. It is harder to find a clock repairman skilled enough to repair them!

I also like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Banjo style clocks. They were 16 jewel inline mechanisms, made by Vacheron, that are watch level quality...cheaper to collect, easier to repair, and came in dozens of different styles and cases. Also a reasonable parts availability.

Nice!

Runs on 'hot air' don't move to DC. 🤦
