I will bypass the prelight stuff because these babies score very high on the eye appeal. The cigar was very firm from head to foot, yet had an easy draw. After the first few puffs, I got a nicotine body rush and felt extreme relaxation washing through my body. Taste? I got hints of BBQ Sauce and pork ribs, believe it or not. This cigar is so strong that I recommend a full stomach and no liquor. I have 2 left!

I had an OPUS X at the beach. I got up to get a drink from the cooler. When I got to the cooler I just turned around and walked back to my chair. Very relaxing cigar. It had to have some illegal substance in it.

For the price most people pay, it should have some illegal substance in it. Good cigar, but way overpriced. There are plenty that are just as good, if not better, for less than half the price.

Although, I never turn one down 🙂

pebbea ... I'll be happy to provide assistance with that too-strong cigar problem ... just put those 2 remaining cigars away in my humidor and your worries are over, my friend ...

Depending on how long those have been sitting on the shelf (probably not that long given the demand) you may want to stash them away for another 6-8 months if you can keep your hands off them. If you think they are good right out of the box they are even better if you give them a few months in the humidor.

If you want something that packs nearly the same punch but at a much more attractive price I suggest the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 Gran Consuls. I picked up a couple boxes of these a few weeks ago and damn they will put you down for the count. 😉

MrSoprano (Tony?), I had a Gran Consul and loved it, so I tried one of the Belicoso's on the premise that if a little is good, more is better ... the extra inch and a quarter of that cigar came as close to overwhelming me as any ever has in all the years I've smoked ...

I'm far from a regular OpusX smoker and am therefore not an authority on the subject, but no Opus I've tried has even come close to producing the effect of the JdN Belicoso ... THAT folks, is one powerful cigar ...
