after the last election the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. 21% of the eligible voters voted for the republican coup d'état. about 20 % voted for the democrats. that leaves almost 60% of the eligible voters who have given up. nadar said there was no difference between the two parties and he is correct.
the democratic majority had a perfect opportunity to investigate bush and cheney and they did not. i suspected life as i have known it was ending when democrats let ashcroft in. clarance thomas, was and is a dumb ass who isn't as smart as judge judy, but he was needed to double scalia's vote and the way it played out, the race card, he got in.
but ashcroft's politics as a right wing bigot, and potentially a dangerous person, were known, and the democrats let him slide.
in the movie, "the nuremberg trials", at the end spencer tracy is talking to one of the convicted judges. the judge said to tracy, "i never thought it would go this far" refering to the totalitarianism that followed. tracy said "it went that far the first time you convicted a man you knew was innocent."

the christian right want's roe vs wade overturned at it will be. i am not in favor of abortions, but i can't get pregnant. i don't like the idea of people that belive in their idea of a supreme being and being able to dictate to others. i believe that was why the early settlers left england. of course it didn't bother them to kill all the people that lived here.

I think it is a lack of understanding of cause and effect, or the relationship of their social goals, and the root cause of the barriers to those goals. Therefore, they make comprimises which prevent the substantial realization of their goals.

The republicans actually have a better understanding of how to achieve their goals. The only problem with that is, I don't like their goals.

the day after armistice day, remember when it was called that, and the reading of the names at the vietnam memorial, we should have begun to build another memorial.
when i visited the memorial, i was filled with a sadness for these young kids sent off to die by the bureaucracy, for nothing. children, average age 18, at least 1 or 2 years younger then the "korean conflict" and 2 or 3 years younger then ww11. we eat our young.
the children come home and the government does less and less to help the sick and wounded. there is no "gulf war syndrome" because if there were, it would cost a lot of money to treat the soldiers.
there was no "post traumatic stress syndrome" from the vietnam war. we just send kids from high school to a place they never heard of have them kill a bunch of strangers, including women and children, and when they return, they are suppossed to go to college as if nothing happenned that has changed their lives forever. tell me charlie, didn't you change?
i believe saddam hasen't bothered anyone since the gulf war and doesn't have any plans to. why should he? he has everything he wants. why would he want to start trouble that would come back to haunt him.

Everyone has a right to there own opinion, (you included), great country we live in. In Sadam's world, if your opinion is not his opinion, your dead. The man is evil and needs to be taken out. I voted for both Father and Son, and think the only regret that senior had about his administration was not finishing off Sadam then and having to wait for his son to do so.
