BUT: The real issue isn't who killed who. It's the "white" system that allowed Zimmerman to go free without even a trial.

And despite a lot of the pro-zimmerman facts that have leaked out recently, I agree with that premise. There should be a detailed investigation. If no trial is warranted, then a full report should have been provided to detail why.
A kid is dead. Even if he provoked Zimmerman, it merits a full scale investigation.
If the "don't stand down" law applies, then this will come out in court or in a report with supporting facts.

Meanwhile, the nation dons their hoodies and buy skittles by the truckload in blind support of a dead kid that may or may not have provoked his own demise.

It's sad.
There will be no winners this time.
Let's just hope we can minimize the degree by which we all lose.

There was an investigation and it was determined that either he commited no crime (self defense) or there wasnt enough evidence to have a shot at a conviction.

Its not like they uncuffed him, patted him on the back, and sent him home.
