O’Reilly Blasts Coordinator of Campaign Aimed at Making the Phrase ‘Illegal Alien’ a Racial Slur; Says “Don’t Demonize People Who Are Accurate”

Friday on The O’Reilly Factor, Monica Novoa, a campaign coordinator for ‘Drop the I-Word,’ spoke out on the program’s new initiative to make the term ‘illegal alien’ morally on par with racial slurs., and her conversation with Bill O’Reilly quickly became heated.

O’Reilly argued that Novoa’s cause is misguided because it is, in fact, a federal crime to enter the U.S. illegally. “I’m not committing a hate crime by saying illegal aliens are just that.” he said.
When Novoa said that in the past laws have been changed in order to make for a more humane society, O’Reilly said, “Then work to change them. Don’t demonize people who are accurate in the description as using a slur or using a hate word because that’s not true.”

When Novoa was asked about whether she believes the U.S. should have open borders, she said, “I think that what we should be doing right now is looking at the reality and the reality is that people are here, and people are parts of families.” O’Reilly quickly interjected claiming that Novoa dodged the question and was filibustering, “two things we don’t allow on this program.”

When Novoa was stumped by O’Reilly’s line of questioning, O’Reilly charged, “You come in here with a very hot campaign, run by a far-left website demonizing people like me who are accurately telling the people what is happening and you don’t even know what you want.”

When Novoa fought back, saying, “The I-word is racist,” O’Reilly said, “I’m not a racist, I’m just reporting what’s happening. People are coming here, and they’re not just Latino, they are Asian, they’re Russian, they’re everyone, and they are coming here illegally, therefore they are illegal aliens. I’m not a racist, I’m not trying to hurt anybody, I’m trying to tell the people the truth.”

Just wondering why they can't say 11:15 or 10:45. 🤔

Btw, saw that interview the other night. Very silly overall. She had her talking points & he was either stumped or didn't care to trick her into answering his questions. All in all, pretty sad & a waste of my time.

Besides I don't know what she's complaining about- we already have open borders. Just a matter of time before they're declared legal. Remember Reagan's amnesty? (shrugging shoulders)

Computing Dictionary

film at 11 definition
jargon
(MIT, in parody of US TV newscasters) 1. Used in conversation to announce ordinary events, with a sarcastic implication that these events are earth-shattering. " ITS crashes; film at 11." "Bug found in scheduler; film at 11."
2. Also widely used outside MIT to indicate that additional information will be available at some future time, *without* the implication of anything particularly ordinary about the referenced event. For example, "The mail file server died this morning; we found garbage all over the root directory. Film at 11." would indicate that a major failure had occurred but that the people working on it have no additional information about it as yet; use of the phrase in this way suggests gently that the problem is liable to be fixed more quickly if the people doing the fixing can spend time doing the fixing rather than responding to questions, the answers to which will appear on the normal "11:00 news", if people will just be patient.
