She loves it and I do as well.

It is the best shooting shotgun I have ever shot. It is super lightweight and cycles plenty fast. The recoil is strangely light considering the weight of the gun.

We shot about 8 boxes of shells this weekend. I was throwing clays for her and she did pretty well for a novice shooter.

Left to right crosses she hit about 30%
right to left - 40%
straight out in front of her - about 60%

She is willing to keep practicing and I'm impressed with her drive to be good at this.

The real test will come Sept 1st - Opening day of Dove Season. I cant wait!

Mattie,

The true test is to see if she will clean her birds. Don't let her off the hook man. Stay firm. I know you got no balls now but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

p.s. - If she ends up shooting that gun a lot, off and on throughout the year, you will be putting a new trigger in it in a couple of years.

Are you thinking she will want to replace it for a better pull, or due to fatigue? The reason I ask, I have lots of browing guns and have never had any trouble with malfunction. And some of the brownings I have belonged to my grandfather so they are old guns.

As for cleaning birds......She would do it, but I can do it much faster. She would be willing if I asked her to help. She is a coonass from LA, so there is not much she is scared of. She has watched me clean deer and never once said, "Oh that is gross".
