Just had my Jersey Driver's License renewed. They had to take a new picture. Eye glasses removed, neutral expression, no teeth showing. When I asked why, she said it was required under a new FEDERAL law, for a National Face Recognition Database. WTF? Anyone else heard of this one?

(of course even though we all have to have our papers, it is outrageous to have to show them to vote)

It is fair, however, that the rest of us carry proper identification so we can work, pay taxes, and support them.

It will be like the movie minority act ten twenty years every camera will be linked up and you will be scanned everywhere you go it's in use more then you think Casinos, Banks, Big Events like the Super Bowl, World Series. It's neat and scary how far and how clear you can zoom in with the new HD IP Video cameras now 300 yards and still read the expiration of the tag on a car. They want everyone tagged like cattle and after the Patriot ACT if government wants government gets that single ACT gave the government such broad powers and that's what Bush & Cheney wanted and it will never go away.

It is just like fingerprints. I believe we should have a Federal or State ID required on your person at all times. I will go back to my house in the rare event i forget my DL. Why would anyone want to conceal their identiy unless you are up to no good?

So, I guess you also support the checking IDs of suspected illegals, or folks showing ID before voting. The only ones who would dare oppose such things are those here illegally, or those attempting voter fraud.

Should cops just randomly stop any non-white person an demand identification? No! But, if a cop has justification to inquire about something from someone, then, ya, they should produce valid ID that shows who they are and that they have the right to be here. We don't need a fence, we don't need new laws, we need to enforce our existing laws. If someone is here illegally, deport them. If someone hires an illegal, fine and lockup the employers to do so.
