Well she is just about here. Everyone in her path please be safe. Ill see you guys on the other side. Hopefully power wont be out all that long this time. We were out 5 days last year for Irene. Got the generator to plug in fridge and a few essentials. Oh well, thats why God made booze and cigars. This will give me some time to sample a bunch in the humidor that I havent tried yet. Hope I dont run out....LOL

Stay safe, dude! I'm a little south of you down here in So. MD and living in the woods hoping all my trees stay

upright.

I watched something on The Weather Chanel about a year or so ago about what would happen if a Cat 4 storm

hit NYC and it wasn't pretty. i know this is not a cat. 4 storm but be safe just the same.

You too Havava. How is it for you so far? We are on Long Island and they say the worst will be from 6pm tonight to 6am tomorrow. We are going to get hit with something called an "astronomical" high tide. Between the tides, the winds and the full moon our coasts are going to get walloped bad!! One of the few time I am glad I dont live on the water...

no, chazbo. i live in So. MD around the Waldorf area. I was just in OC about three weeks ago and spent a couple

days in Bethany Bch. Love that area.

letsRock, it's just raining here and 10mph or so winds. They say the same thing for here as the time frame for the

worst is later this evening to tomorrow morning. I saw somewhere the combined surge in your area might be as

much as 11 feet. Holy crap that sounds scary!

Campage, very sound advice. if somebody farts out my way we lose power so i'm stocked on can openers and

propane for the grill. when we lose power we also lose water so I'm pretty well stocked on H2O.

I am on long island also. Plainview to be exact. Thankfully, I am inland and don't have to worry about the tides but still have all the same concerns about wind damage. I too am one of these spots that always loses power. Irene had me without power for a full week. I pray for the safety of all in the storms path. Let's hope everyone stays safe and healthy and loses as little property as possible. For those not in the path of the storm thanks for keeping those of us that are in your thoughts.
