I will on occasion get a very uneven burn. Last night I had a cigar that burned through the filler nicely but didn't burn as quickly through the wrapper. Is this a function of over humidification? I had these in a Bulldog humidor with a humistick. I have since added a cedar lining and put in a cedar stick to kinda neutralize the metal. I also added a hygrometer to see how it stacks up Rh wise.

Any thoughts?

Most likely especially with Maduros, I like to use a dry box and put a couple in it for the week to ensure a drier even burn.

Not meant as an insult in any way but make sure you evenly light your gar when you spark it up..

I have seen people just light the center of the gar thus promoting "tunneling" (how the He%% do you spell that)

Also as mentioned--- humidity could be a factor

sounds like a smoke that has gone from a drier environment to a wetter one (or the RH in your humi just went up quickly). Anyways, I would just give it a couple weeks to stabilize and I would bet it all staightens out.

remember...it's humidity AND temperature, you need to be at 70&70...lots of young cigars sometimes do this, just let them age a little (at 70&70) and it should get better.

often when that happens to me, I can tell it was because of the flaw in the way the cigar was rolled. I think it is called "booking"? Look at the end of the cigar, the tobacco should be perfectly rolled in a circle or curve, but sometimes you see where it isn't, and instead of curves you see straight lines, and that can cause an uneven burn. Sometimes it will eventually correct itself. I know I am not doing a very good job of explaining this. Also the problem is often associated with a problem with the actual construction of the leaf.
