She's a beauty. Can't wait until I have the time/money to get back into it. Left a few tanks at my parents house when I moved out after college.

I hate to tell you this....but you might have a slight mold problem. There's stuff growing all in your tank.

That's gorgeous! Some day I'd love to get into aquariums. They are so relaxing to look at and I love all the corals and the little critters you can get that live among them like shrimp and crabs etc. I could watch them for hours. Just off the top of your head how much do you think you spent on those corals? I've always heard salt water tanks are super expensive but I've never really looked into it seriously to have an idea what they would cost.

I'm thinking an aquarium big enough for you to get into is gonna be very large.

At the time each piece of coral ran 30-120$ depending on size and availability. What I did was buy most of the small and allow them to grow into the tank. The overall investment was in the range of 13 to 15 thousand. Keep in mind that the tank was 90 gal. Had 10 vho lights on timers, fans for cooling and air circulation, float to auto fill water level and a drip system for mineral supplements. The tank ran itself with little help from me. Once it was established, i did not have to feed anything as it was a complete eco system.

I lost almost all of my coral too. Purple tang was cool, but it was a challenge putting anything else in he probably killed 5 grand worth of fish.
